10.14. A lay brake
THE GENERAL DATA

The lay brake should provide to keep the car on a bias at 5–8 clicks of a course. Adjustment is necessary, if a course of a brake less than 5 clicks (back wheels can hardly be turned) or more than 8 (the car unreliably затормаживается on biases).

LEVER DRIVE

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To provide access to a regulator, remove the central facing section.
2. Release a counternut (the top nut), keeping an adjusting (bottom) nut. Tighten an adjusting nut before reception of the necessary course of the lever of a brake. Tighten a counternut.
3. Check up a course of the lever of a lay brake and establish into place removed section.

PEDAL DRIVE

Slowly having pressed a pedal, define number of clicks to full затормаживания which should be equal 3–6. Adjustment is necessary, if a course of a brake less than 3 clicks (back wheels can hardly be turned) or more than 6 (the car unreliably затормаживается on biases).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To provide access to a regulator, remove facing (subsection 11.23 see.).
2. Release a counternut (the top nut), keeping an adjusting (bottom) nut. Tighten an adjusting nut before reception of the necessary course of the lever of a brake. Tighten a counternut.
